Pirelli SC1

Does anyone know where I can buy Pirelli SC1 DOT’s in Orange County? I’m looking for a rear 180 as still have meat on the front.

My other option is to change to SC1 slicks as I already have a fairly new front in the garage and know where I can buy a rear locally. Is there a big difference going from the SC1 DOT with tread to the SC1 slick?

Why not go with supercorsa SP's?

I use the SP’s on the street but haven’t used them on track. The SC1 dots may even be overkill for my pace but I like the confidence I get from knowing that I can push them further and they still have a lot more grip to give.

I know I don’t necessarily need slicks which is why if I can find another SC1 dot rear then I’ll go with this to see out the remaining life in the front before changing to slicks as a pair.

I would just go with the SPV2, great tire at the track. Just run the SP rear with the SC front for now. Letís have the community weigh in on that if itís a good idea.
If you still want SC DOTs Motor Helmets in Fullerton carries them I believe.

Thanks Dustin, it was motorhelmets I called. Maybe we misunderstood each other and it is the SC1 Dots they have in stock rather than the slick. I’ll give them a call to clarify.

I run SP's at the track (intermediate pace) I've had 100% confidence riding all the way to the edge on them personally.

Thanks everyone, will order an sc1 but won’t get the tire until after Sunday.

I have a spare set of wheels with fresh sp’s for street so will take with me in case I want to change during the day.

At the track, and SC1's are great, they really are 's gift to traction and grip.

SP V2's are so expensive, but they are unreal!

Yeah, I love them. Riding with trackxperience this weekend though so it’ll be Dunlop’s by racers edge

Got lucky and found out the Pirelli rep was at The big track so rode across after midday session and had a new SC1 DOT rear mounted while I had my lunch.

Not to thread jack but have you tried that new 180 Dunlop rear? The soft tire feels amazing and has very good life.

Wasn’t cheap - $235 for the tire. I took the bike over rather than the wheel so total with fitting and tax was around $290.

Not exactly cheap but love the confidence from the Pirellis.
