Just paid for my first track day! I'll be there sat and sun. I'll be going up friday the 28th and staying in a hotel. Anyone have any recommendations of hotels?

that's a bit pricey for me, but there's a motel 6 right there too. I think I'll be booking a room there for 2 nights.

I wish i could. My wife would probably kill me if I did a track day in march and then another a month later. So tempting I will see if I can swing it.

You can take it to the track and we'll help all you need is tape up all the light and disconnect the fuses

And put duct tape over your wheel weights.

1:Tires need to have over 50% life in them.
2: no leaking fluids
3: brake pads need to be in good shape.
4: Really worn down sprockets won't be accepted.
5: sticky throttle is a no..no.

Basically your bike has to be mechanically sound, the rest is simple.

I think you only have to safety wire if you are in A group.

2: no leaking fluids "bring duct tape and electrical tape" I had a brake line bust out of a fitting at streets of willow and electrical taped the out of it and still worked fine
3: brake pads need to be in good shape. "unless you are Bo and don't like to have useable brakes....this is probably a good one.
4: Really worn down sprockets won't be accepted. "Unless they are missing teeth you should be fine." chain slack for the track is important too. Not too tight or too loose
5: sticky throttle is a no..no. "very very important full lock left and full lock right check it and make sure it returns at a good rate with no sticky spots.

Basically your bike has to be mechanically sound, the rest is simple.
