2018 MotoGP : what's your take

I can't edit previous thread title so I created new one. The seamless gearbox is nice!
Who do you think is gonna make it this year?

I think this year is going to be even closer than it was last year. I don't want to say MM is a sure thing but he's going to be up at the top for sure. Based on the 3 days of testing, looks like JL has finally got his sea legs! Although not a big JL fan I am hoping that he does well on the Ducati this year as I do have respect for his riding ability and would like to see the what he can do on it.

Looks like some of the satellite riders like Miller and Zarco are going to be podium contenders this year and though factory rider, maybe even Rins.

I can't wait for 2018. I bought the off season video pass and watched the 2017 motogp season. Now I am watching Moto2.

I knew Zarco won't like 2017 M1 but I am surprised Tech 3 is ending the relation

I found a great video on how the seamless transmissions work. Its little wordy but does a great job:

So I cant figure out how to put the video in the post like Guy does all the time...

Did this work?

Guess not. Don't know how either. The few of the other sites I frequent either have a "video" link insertion or an "embed" icon to use.

Forums that have the ability to auto embed can fail if the URL its given has additional arguments in it. In this case, the "#action=share" at the end of the URL was throwing the auto-embed.

It seems impossible to guess what bikes works well and what bike doesn't until it starts to play out, like last year where Maverick was killing it then the Yamahas seemed to fall off and only Zarco could do well. I just hope KTM and Suzuki (and I guess Aprilia) are able to do well enough to justify their continued participation, I don't know want to go back to the Ducati and Honda and Yamaha only show

Why do you think those three teams, Yamaha, Ducati, and Honda constantly have better bikes?
