That is exactly what I got out of the video. That combined with target fixation =

If he would have trusted the bike and leaned he would have been fine. Maybe a scraped peg.

The fact that people are buying into that delusion and supporting it is dangerous for him, too.

Hey guys I'm still a cornering novice. Still learning definitely. That sign warned of sharp left ahead 25mph. He was doin 68mph. Approaching that turn. Me personally when I'm riding. A goal of mine is to try 20mph faster than the curve sign posted. Although to tell the truth I never even get close to that at all. But that guy was going 40 mph faster then posted sign. There's no way I would've been hauling like that. being that Im not good cornering. But I would do my breaking opon reading that sign. then lean into the turn with a better speed than 68mph. Sounds boring but I'd rather be safe than sorry🤷🏽*♂️

I never push too fast on a road unless I've ridden it several times and know the lay of every corner. My use of "too fast" is relative. I consider my rides on public roads as spirited.

The guy who crashed either didn't know the road or was riding stupid.

I hear ya man, just this past Sunday, on my familiar road, I saw Jesus so many times I started using him as a braking marker.

I saw Jeebus once but he told me to lay off the spirits.
