Helmet 5yr birthday next month.

Though 5yr old still in top shape and seems perfectly sound would you keep it another year or two. First 2 years keep inside in box and only used last 3 years.

That’s tough. I’d probably get a new helmet.

I just dropped mine on cement from a 1.5 foot drop. Some of it was absorbed by the raised visor. I’m keeping it.

5 years from first use or 7 years from date of manufacture, whichever is earlier. Thatís what most helmet manufacturers will recommend.

I don't know if it's most that say 5/7 but that's the answer I want so another year or 2 it is. I'm keeping it

Use it until you can't stand the smell. Then, sell it on eBay to someone who prefers wearing a well-worn lid.
