Wow- I hadn't realized you'd crashed again. Somehow I missed that.

I am extremely sorry to hear it.

It happens eventually.

I did one of those sweet moves where I was sliding for like ten hours and I thought I'd stopped so I pushed off the ground and WOOOOOOOO!!! Sent myself into a shoulder to shoulder barrel roll... over and over and over and...you get the point.

I went slack when I felt my shoulder snap and then slid for two more days 🤣

Oh wow that's super helpful to know.

Maybe we aren't warming them up properly?

Ah shoot it was 110 degrees at the track what am I saying...

Interesting though both my accidents happened after I got the q3's.

Blame it on the tires!!! Hahaha.

Matthew was riding with Q3's as well. My bridgestone S21's held up just fine.

Hopefully another zx6r

Just putting this here. I haven't ridden on Q3s for a long time but they are a good all around tire. On my bike they didn't start getting greasy at about 15 minutes into the sessions but it was a very controllable and progressive movement coming from the rear. I am not the smoothest rider and I was more of a point and go rider (still kinda am actually) but the tires are good to take the average rider to the top of B group or entry level A group. Here is the twist, I see Eric Bostrom at Fastrack events keeping up with his students on his zx10r running mid 1:30s to keep up with his students on good ol' Dunlop Q3's.

I say buy a tire that makes you comfortable and gives you that little bit extra grip just in case. Just keep in mind that race tires need a little bit of extra heat so you'll have to adjust pressures accordingly.

personally I prefer the q3 over the s21...

Now if I could get a rs10 front and a q3 rear in a combo package that would be awesome too

^just shows it comes down to preference and feel

They made night and day difference in my riding. It was a huge eye opener. I could go a lot faster and at sharper lean angles than before.

I didn't consistently check tire pressures either day at the track though...

In any case I know I crashed the first time because I dug the peg into the pavement until it snapped off. No amount of tire can save that.

At the track I went into the slowest corner on the course trying to turn it into a fast corner when it just isn't. I realized my mistake, tried to jam the bike into the corner harder, and with rear brake most likely. Again, no amount (or quality) of tire can save a learner like me from those mistakes.

It sure would be easier to blame it on the dunnies though

Try the Pirelli SC V2's. Plenty of extra grip. Great track tire and street too

Lots of people I know use Q3s so I don't think they're bad. I just asked to make sure you weren't on Roadsmarts or something.
