2008 GSXR 600
Unfortunately I don’t have much time to hit the canyons these days. The plan is to focus on school in the short term and land a more lucrative career this summer at which point I’ll be looking for a new ride
Looking for $5900 obo.
Selling my 2008 Suzuki GSX-R 600. With work and another semester of grad school underway, this bike has been sitting in the garage too much and deserves to be ridden more. Would be perfect for someone looking for a powerful 600 with plenty of life left, without having the insurance rates associated with a 1000.
This bike is originally from Minnesota and was registered in CA in 2015...meaning it has the benefit of being a 49 state motorcycle that is legally operable on CA roads. I purchased this from a meticulous owner in 2012 @ 9800 miles and kept up his maintenance standards. Here is a quote from the original owner:
"The bike was broken in properly (most people skip this step and lose A LOT of longevity in their bike) and I've changed the oil every 1,500 miles with Maxima 100% ester (full synthetic) oil. The best. Period."
Here is the exhaustive list of everything currently installed on the bike:
• Penske Rear Shock 8983 Series
• Penske 20mm fork kit
• GP fork extenders
• 90 degree aluminum valve stems
• Marchesini aluminum wheels
• Vesrah brake pads
• Vortex clip ons with Renthal grips
• Motion Pro Revolver Throttle
• Vortex rearsets
• Ohlins steering damper
• Spigler Brake lines front and rear
• Woodcraft frame sliders
• Woodcraft rear spools
• Tech Spec tank gripers and center protector
• Yoshimura TRC full exhaust system with headers
• Power commander V with custom map
• BMC performance air filter
• Speedo healer
• 520 EK3D chain kit (Superlite steel rear +3, -1 sprocket front)
• Fender eliminator
• HID headlight
• ASV Shorty clutch lever
• Tygon brake tubing
• Probolt shift rod and clutch adjuster and sprocket nuts
• Dealer mode switch
• Michelin Power Pilot 3 tires (new front, 75% remaining on rear)
• Puig dark smoke windscreen
The following recent services were performed at Suzuki of Van Nuys at 18k miles:
Valve adjustment, new OEM clutch, new chain and sprockets (see above), new spark plugs, oil change, air filter cleaned and oiled, new front tire, brake master cylinder replaced under recall (brakes flushed). Previous work was performed by Cities Edge in Shakopee, MN including the rectifier changed under the recall.
I'm asking $5600 which includes everything installed. Not interested in parting out. Bike has never been down/tipped over, clean and clear title (no loan/lien), registration good through Nov 2017. Several small scratches as indicated around rear wheel but great overall condition and ready to ride.
If interested call or text me at (763) 6O7-18six8 or email.
