New-ish to SoCal

Hi SoCal!

First time poster but lurking the last few months. Moved down to the Murrieta area from NorCal back in September. Wow, are the roads/scenery different down here! I have not had a lot of time to get out on the street scoot much since moving but that is starting to change. Only a few short jaunts here and there. My schedule is usually more flexible to ride during the week than the weekends.

I have found a few roads to keep me entertained; Palomar, De Luz and Ortega. On the list still are Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Angeles Crest and the Malibu areas.

I am definitely interested in learning/following the locals where the good stuff is. I like it all except endless slab. HA! I really enjoy tight, twisty, technical goat roads.

Who is ready to ride????

Welcome to the board, MD. There are quite a few other entertaining roads down here for you to discover- in fact, there are more than you can shake a stick at.

Keep an eye on the board for ride-outs and meet ups and hopefully we can show you the best the region has to offer.

You mentioned liking the technical, and De Luz is on your list... these are good signs.

Funny since moving here, De Luz was the first road I found (thanks to motorcycleroads.com) and is my quick go to since I live off Clinton Keith. It is just too short. LOL.

Thank you! LOL. The name has a double meaning for me. I am a motorcycle freak and because my daughter races dirt bikes professionally.

I work from home so my schedule is usually pretty flexible during the week (except when I am not at the moto track). That means, let's ride!!! Sometimes, I can be ready for a ride at a moments notice. This week my Thursday and Friday are clear so far....

Nice! I'm Hot Springs and Via Princessa North (the Princessa closer to Ziggy's) I usually leave to work every morning around 6am but every other Friday I have the day off so maybe we can hit your morning route on one of those Fridays. And on weekends I just have to schedule around the fam's schedule but we can definitely plan something out!
