I love a good campfire...(Hemet 74)

As much as I love a good campfire...things got a little out of control up Hemet Way. The Cranston fire has done some incredible damage...but the good news is that the firefighters did an amazing job protecting the communities and the roads.

74 is open and the Road from Hemet to Palm Desert is open and clean. 243 is pretty heavily frost-heaved but that's not new.

Roads are open life is good.

All the orange you see is fire retardant. Talk about Danger Close! I snapped a couple pix of some of the homes...they were simply dropping right on top of them.

Lots of folks were up there surveying the fire damage. Air quality wasn't bad all things considered. The lovely scent of burned pine wasn't as overwhelming as I thought.

Peace out all and ride safe.

These days a 13,139 acres fire is just a weenie roast hardly worth a mention.

Did you go around any "Road Closed" signs?
