new boot soles

after over 70k miles and almost 8 years, the soles were falling off, so i got my boots fixed

The soles can come unglued (even with little to no use) just sitting in the closet over time. Mine did, and they were top of the line SIDIs. Took them to a good shoe repair shop and found out the manufacturer doesn't use enough glue sometimes/most times. They re-glued mine for $20, (using much more glue). Probably will not happen again for the rest of the boots life.

absolutely. They actually first came apart a couple years ago, in the parking lot at Red Bell Santa Monica, so I'm sure it's just an age thing with the glue. I tried some silicone adhesive and that worked for a while. Tried some super glue, didn't last long. tried gorilla glue, and that was letting go as well.


Granted I didn't prep the surfaces except clean them with water, alcohol. Anthony's does a full on prep job before gluing so I'm hopeful it'll last a while.
