Lap timer for my old bike

So I was looking for something easy, quick and cheap and came across this
I've heard of apps for this but don't really feel like taking my phone on the track as it is the size of a mini tablet
Not going to be competing so don't really need anything super fancy, just something to look at.
Anyone have experience with these cheaper lap timers?

Never used that one, but I have the sv racing parts one. Basically the same thing, I think it cost $30 though. It's actually be really accurate to my racing laptimes (done on the system at cvma with a transponder)

I've used my phone and apps for when I used to track cars. They are just ok. The gps refresh rate isn't quick enough to be extremely accurate, but if just for fun they work fine.
