PAINT SHOP RECOMMENDATION?
Hey guys,
I've got two fairings that are prepped, primed, and ready to be painted. - Wondering if anyone can recommend a shop that does a great job, and does small pieces/projects? |

Meh... I've rattle-canned fairings before... and with all the preparation and tricks in the book, they still come out slightly orange peeled and/or without the depth/gloss I am looking for.
But then again, I might just have to if the cost of having a shop do it doesn't make sense. Hence my inquiry. |

Get your rattle cans from an auto paint supply shop. They mix the colors in-house to factory paint code specs. These are far, far superior to your Krylons and such.
The clear coats are professional grade as well. Seriously, this is the same stuff that a pro would shoot through a sprayer, just in a spray can. If you can't get the smoothness and depth it's because you aren't doing it correctly. |
