2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 with ABS. This is the sportiest of the sport touring bikes available, it has normal, un-linked brakes and makes 145hp and 80 lb-ft torque stock. Also has an electronically adjustable windscreen that lets you go from total comfort on a long highway ride to lower air resistance to attack the twisties with the push of a button.

Clean Texas title in hand (Out of state title means guaranteed no back registration or extra fees). Title is in my name.
43xxx miles, which is nothing for a shaft-driven sport touring bike. This type of bike can easily go to 100K with ordinary maintenance.

I'm only selling because I have the opportunity to buy a Tiger 1200 Explorer from a friend in the next few weeks. I was planning to keep this bike for a long time, and even picked up extra tires for it, which I will be including.

Recent work:
Fresh oil change with Full Synthetic Rotella T6
Coolant manifold and all coolant hoses replaced
Valve clearance checked less than 2000 miles ago
New Yuasa AGM battery less than 1 year old
Cables Lubed

Accessories and Upgrades:
Factory side cases with internal soft liners (put your stuff in the soft liners, put soft liners into hard bags, pull out soft liners to carry your stuff around)
Factory top case with backrest (this was a dealer option).
Givi windscreen
Powerlet outlet for 12V accessories. Can also be used to trickle charge battery.
RAM mount on handlebar center nut and clutch reservoir.
Throttle lock cruise control
Spare set of brand new Bridgestone T30 evo tires (best sport touring tires available), a $300 value
Factory Maintenance Manual
Spare seat
Spare gas tank
Spare killswitch assembly

Issues:
Slight scuffs on the left stator cover and a couple very small cracks in the plastics on the left side from shipping Cracks are tiny and in a hidden part of the fairing. Luggage has some scuffs and a couple small rock chips. Bike has never been down.

Cash Only. You are welcome to come see the bike and see me start and ride it, but I require the full asking price in cash in hand and a vaild motorcycle license if you want to take a test ride yourself.

Only got another week to sell, so I'll cut the BS and give my bottom dollar price. I need $4000 to be able to afford the Tiger Explorer before I fly out see my friend, anything less and I'm stuck keeping the FJR a while longer.

Not 100%, but I think the bike needs more mileage than that to register in CA if it's an out of state bike

I think you may have misread the mileage, the bike has 45,000 (45k). That's well over the 7,500 required to register.

This is a great bike, but why it took them to 2016 to add 6th gear I'll never know.

I don't get that either. Especially considering that you can get all the way to the red line in 5th.

Still haven't picked up the tiger, my friend just re-listed it though, so hopefully I can grab it this time around.
