The love of my life

Decided to make a thread about my bike :-) I first picked her up in in AZ as I was passing through to relocate to Cali. This is my first bike and I was happier than a kid at Christmas.

2000 CBR600 F4

That week I dropped her and broke a mirror and my pride. I switched out the mirrors to turn signal mirrors. I made it to cali and the 2nd month I was there I was in a lowside crash. Was going through a canyon and just went to fast for my comfort level and slide into a ditch at 35mph. This is the bike after the crash.

I almost just gave up on this one and was going to get another bike. But I realized it was mostly cosmetic so I decided to fix her. Here is how she sits now.

Fuel Pump
Gauges (F4I gauges)
All fairings
Foot Pegs
Rear Subframe

I know some of you think why the did I put all that money into a 2000 bike but she has been a good bike and I like her. I also figured I could go out and buy a used bike but who knows what problems that would come with it. At least this I went through it myself and I know most of the is replaced. But I'm happy with the results and shes plenty of fast for me. My plan is to eventually make her into a track bike and get a newer CBR.

Great story to go along with a great looking bike man. It's your bike and you do what you want with it. The best part is that you kept her alive to keep bringing you that pride and joy everytime you throw your leg over it. Keep the shiny side up an the rubber side down.

Good job restoring it! It looks nice and I probably would do the same if it was a bike with some sentimental value. How much time did you put restoring? Must have been terrible not being able to ride.

Good job bringing her crack to life. The cool thing is when we rebuild a bike it can be how we see fit. Keep up the good work.
